Temple Attire
Please bring your Robe, Nemyss and red socks
or slippers. If you do not own these, then please bring a pair of
plain black slacks (no jeans) and solid black shirt or plain straight
black dress to wear strictly for Temple workings and classes. Make
sure that these are specifically brought just for Temple work and
not something you are planning on wearing at other times than at
the Temple. You will need to get a pair of red socks or slippers
if you do not already own them. Please bring your Grade Sash if
you have one. If you do not own a robe and nemyss and would like
to order a set, an order form will be added to this site at a later
date. Bookmark this site and check periodically for the order form.
Grade Materials
You may bring your grade materials, although they are not required.
Be certain to write your name or motto on them in case they are
misplaced. There is one discount bookstore in the mall in particular
that profits nicely from Power Week and the Winter Conclave. Many
Members have found magical and spiritual books there at reasonable
prices.
Tarot Deck
If you have a Tarot deck, please bring it. We suggest decks that
include Golden Dawn attributions if you have not purchased one as
yet. Recall from your Neophyte book that you should keep your deck
clothed in white fabric. We also recommend that you have a cloth
to use as a sacred surface for using the Tarot, as opposed to just
any old surface. This can be the same cloth if you would like.
Note Taking
For your convenience, the Order will be providing all Members here
for Power Week with a folder that contains a notebook and a pen
along with other items. You may bring a mini cassette recorder to
tape lectures. Out of courtesy, please ask the teacher prior to
taping their class or lecture.
Temple Gifts
Many Members have asked if they can bring something to contribute
to the Temple. You are more than welcome to donate additional money
in order to help those less fortunate attend Power Week. Another
thing that you can do is to donate a book to the Order library.
We have a book plate that we will use to dedicate your gift to the
Temple and a place for your magical motto. If you have a question
concerning whether a book is appropriate or not, please email us
at PowerWeek2009@hotmail.com.
Spending Money
Other than the $60.00 donation, there are no further expenses involved
in your time at the Temple. Along with money for food and lodging,
you might want to bring some spending money to pick up gifts for
friends, relatives or even for yourself.
The Temple will have several recorded lectures
for sale along with incense, oils, magical tools, and other related
items avaliable for purchase throughout the week.
