There is no charge for the special classes, informative
lectures or exciting ritual work we offer during Power Week. Although
such an intensive workshop would normally cost you hundreds or even
thousands of dollars elsewhere, we are dedicated to making Power
Week affordable to as many Members as we can.
Many of our Members donate not only their time
but also their financial support to make Power Week work each year.
As we have done in the past, we are asking for a small donation
to offset the cost of refreshments, handouts, furniture rental,
and the many special extras provided throughout the week. We are
asking $60 per member for the entire week, and this is the only
cost aside from personal traveling expenses and hotel cost. This
cost is offered only through 2008; after the beginning of 2009 it
will rise to $90.
Each member is responsible for his or her own transportation
to Power Week. Several free carpools will be available on the main
transportation days, but other transportation must be arranged by
the member in advance. Members are also responsible for their own
accommodations.
If you plan to advance during Power Week, we ask
that you send your grade advancement fee of $65 to the Cancellarius
no later than July 31st. This is very important in order to allow
time to complete the preparation of grade materials prior to Power
Week. Please make out a separate check or money order for your grade
advancement fee and clearly specify what it is for, as this money
goes to a separate account. You should plan to have your testing
completed by July 15th in order to give your proctor time to notify
the Cancellarius if you are recommended for advancement and give
you time to mail in your check.
If you face particular financial need, please specify
such when you apply. No one is denied the opportunity or the pleasure
of Power Week due to inability to afford the donation fee.
