The Temple of Ptah is located
in Joliet, Illinois, a southern suburb of Chicago. There are two
major airports local to the area, O'hare and Midway. We recommend
you fly to whichever airport happens to be most affordable, as they
are essentially both the same distance from the temple. Shuttles
will be provided to and from the airports upon request, though many
enjoy pooling in a rental car for the week.
As Power Week always starts
Monday morning, most members will be arriving throughout the day
on Sunday. If you are in need of a ride from the airport, please
plan to be in the area no later than Sunday evening.
Weather
A typical high temperature
in August can range from 85 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit, so bring
plenty of cool clothes and sunscreen.
Spending
Money
Other than the $60.00 donation,
there are no further expenses involved in your time at the Temple.
Along with money for food and lodging, you might want to bring some
spending money to pick up gifts for those you left behind or even
for yourself. The Temple will have several recorded lectures for
sale along with incense and other goodies. For those who do not
have the necessary regalia, an order form for a robe and nemyss
is forthcoming on this site. Please bookmark the site and stay tuned
if you have such a need, or would like a new robe and/or nemyss.
